  • ·        Port: 25 (or 587 if 25 is not available)
  • ·        Authentication: Yes
  • ·        Encrypted Connection: TLS

You should use your full Hotmail email address with @hotmail.com as your Username along with your Hotmail password.

Now your Hotmail account will be synced among all the devices you are logged in.  If you carry away any task on a device Hotmail customer service email will copy and execute the task in all those gadgets.

 

Steps to Configure Hotmail with POP

To configure Hotmail with POP you need to follow the below stated steps:

·        First of all, you need to sign in to your Hotmail account from here: www.outlook.com or www.hotmail.com.

·         Then you need to click on the ‘Gear’ icon and then select the ‘Option’ tab from the drop down menu.

·        In the ‘Managing your Account’ section, you will find Connect Devices and Apps with POP tab; click on that.

·        Now you have to turn on POP by enabling.

·        You need to ‘Save’ the settings to enjoy the features in future.

  • ·        Server address: pop-mail.outlook.com
  • ·        Port: 995
  • ·        Encrypted Connection: SSL

Outgoing SMTP server:

  • ·        Server address: smtp-mail.outlook.com
  • ·        Port: 25 (or 587 if 25 is blocked)
  • ·        Authentication: Yes
  • ·        Encrypted Connection: TLS

You need to use your full Hotmail email address like xxxx@hotmail.com along with your Hotmail password.

 

If you set up the POP in your Hotmail account and don’t want to delete the mails from your inbox of Outlook.com, then you should select ‘Leave a Copy of Message’ so that Hotmail Account Support will save it for you.
